Anonymous asked: What is your opinion on fashion for women that wear size 6 and over? Do you think the fashion world is a world for the skinny? I'm someone who is VERY much involved in fashion and I absolutely adore clothes but I often feel that fashion blogs neglect the so-called 'average-sized women'.

In my opinion, fashion has no boundaries. It does not discriminate based on genders and size, but there are “some” in the industry that do. What makes it worse is how the media exacerbates those messages to the mass. Whether you’re a size 6 or 14, it is important to have personal style and know what is right for you. I highly appreciate people with great sense of style, no matter their shape or size. I also respect those who embrace their bodies and able to brush off any negativities around them. To me, these are the greatest style you could ever have in life. Furthermore, runway models are not comparable to the average population. Though, it may seem like the fashion industry is aimed for the model-like figure, there are other aspects and alternatives to be considered. Since both sides have low expectation, changes are slow to come by. Fashion blogs tend to ignore the average-sized women because they are diffusing directly from the fashion industry. Since the industry mainly focuses on the small size, this leaves fashion bloggers with limited options to expand their ground. So, my advice is to find what is right for you and disregard the comparison between yourself and others. Since you’re involved in the field, try to look at the industry from a different perspective and use fashion blogs and other platforms as inspiration foundation to help construct your style. I hope this helps.
